Dinner @ Cafe Cartel
Had dinner with the peeps at Marina Square's Cafe Cartel yesterday after work. We were supposed to rush home after dinner to catch the Star Awards on TV, but in the end had such a crazy time posing with the dollar notes that we lost track of time. Some of the pics we captured:

Blur Driver Incident
On our way home today, we met a damn weird situation. The bus driver (a Chinaman), was undergoing training, with another supposedly more experienced driver (a Malay) beside him, guiding him the route. However, the trainer seemed equally as blur as the trainee. In the end the training driver turned around and asked me about the route he is supposed to drive, as his trainer is not sure about the route as well. In the end, I have to guide him throughout the whole journey instead. Thank god the bus service is a loop service, which travels a short distance around the neighbourhood. God knows what will happen if this occurs on a long distance trip. I think those two poor souls will just bring the passengers on a wild goose chase :P

Our past weeks
The Monday before was my 1st time in my life watching 2 movies in a row in a cinema. Watched Knowing with Alvin in the afternoon and Confessions of a Shopaholic with Xuan at night. Ironically, I fell asleep in the middle of both movies as I had woke up pretty early for my coaster distribution job with Alvin. However, I managed to catch the main geist of both movies =).
Confessions of a Shopaholic - Fabulous movie with a great plot and sufficient humour to compliment the story.
Thereafter, the whole week was mahjong-ing sessions for 3 nights! Furthermore, 2 of those nights were back-to-back sessions and we were shagged out at the end. However, it was a pretty enjoyable week catching up with all our friends.

P.S. my photography class ended like so long ago already! (like a few months ago)
Photography class was fun, but you need to submit tonnes and tonnes of pictures every week to the lecturer, which is kinda tiring. Sometimes, i even ran out of ideas on what kind of things i should take. Taking pictures of nature such as animals and flowers are great, as the outcome is super nice. That concluded my photography class which is great! Lots of love =)

Dinner Outing with the peeps
After a long day at work, we went for dinner at Astons @ The Cathay. Have been planning for a trip there for quite some time. The food is good and worthwhile and the portion is also satisfactory. I will recommend the place for mini gatherings with friends, as the ambience is good for the purpose. Thereafter, we head off to Gelare @ Plaza Singapura for some ice-cream as it's still quite early. We enjoyed the ice-creams while talking cock until almost close to closing hours.

Supper with the Esplanade Peeps
Had a wonderful night, eating supper with Dad and the rest of the Esplanade peeps at Gluttons Bay after work. They treated me to another feast of local delights and we cant even finish our food. In the end, our 'Vacuum Cleaner' Miss Norti had to sweep up the remainders and it's nice to have her around HEHE. They threatened to throw me into the sea after that but fortunately, they were just kidding =P
It's been a memorable week for me, sending off Xuan, receiving surprises from the Esplanade guyz, celebrating with Peijin, and looking forward to more celebrations with my secondary sch peeps. Most importantly, I got to chat with Xuan on msn the night before and it was one of the most wonderful chat since we were together, mainly because this is the 1st time we were apart for so long. No wonder people says distance makes the heart grows fonder. It makes you want to cherish your loved ones more when you are apart =)

Another birthday outing at Plaza Singapura
Went to watch Shinjuku incident with Peijin today to celebrate my birthday in advance at Plaza Singapura today. It's been quite some time I saw her and she changed hairstyle again. Personally, I think that the movie is quite fascinating, as I love Hong Kong thriller and this is not the typical Hong Kong gangster movie like Young and Dangerous. Set in Tokyo, it tells the story of a China illegal immigrant in Japan who went in search of his girlfriend. Unknown to him, she was already married to a Japanese Yakuza boss. When he discovered the truth, he decides to remain in Japan and soon became embroiled with the Yakuza, and there is no turning back. I would rate it as 3.5/5, for its intriguing storyline and convincing acting by Jackie Chan.
Thereafter, we head to Astons at The Cathay for dinner. As usual, the queue is very long and we waited for 20mins before we got our seat and it was an outdoor seat. We were perspiring when we finished our dinner, but overall the food was worthwhile. After dinner, we head off to Gelare for an ice-cream. I almost lost my wallet at the ice-cream parlour, as I left it on the table. Fortunately, a kind soul by the name of Chen Jia Wei brought it to the customer service counter, who then informed me and I managed to recover my wallet. I was really grateful for him and I called him back personally to thank him. =)

Alan's early birthday celebration @ Fish & Co.
Xuan pre-planned a birthday celebration for me before departing for Beijing. She wanted to spring a surprise for me but I was already smelling something fishy. However, I was quite surprised by what actually happened that night as it turned out to be quite a crazy night. I was smashed with cakes, made to wear a custom-made T-shirt penned by the peeps and even had tartar sauce stuffed in my ear -.-
I was also made to stand on the chair, while the Fish and Co. crew sang birthday songs for us (there were 2 other birthday babies in the restaurant) in front of everyone. Fortunately, the restaurant was quite empty by the time the singing started, so it was not so embarressing. I really enjoyed myself and appreciate the effort by the Esplanade peeps and Xuan for the wonderful night, though things is still a little different without her to share the joy with me here. Will be counting down the days to your return =) - Alan

Thereafter, I went to wash up in the toilet. Still, I was not let off as Zong Da and Alvin came in to do the forbidden act on me.
